Haunted Hawai`i

Jeff Gere is celebrated for his physical style of storytelling and rubbery face. In 1988, he became the drama specialist for the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation. In 1989 Gere founded the Talk Story Festival, Hawaii`s largest free storytelling and oral history celebration held annually. Jeff has told tales around the world including Guam, Saipan, Samoa, and Spain. He has produced two audio cassettes and co-produced `The Storytellers` on KITV channel 4. His solo video, `Silly `N Spooky,` won "honors" from the National Parent`s Choice Awards.

Haunted Hawai`i has original retellings of true supernatural tales of Hawai`i collected across 20 plus years of continual performing. These are exceptional `chicken skin` experiences, so beware! Jeff, who was born on Halloween, can adapt the selection of tales to the age and temperament of the occasion.

Sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
