Human Resource Management Certification Review I
For experienced HR practitioners who are planning to take the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification examinations administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), this course, based on the SHRM Learning System, provides an overview of key areas in human resource management. Three modules correspond to three of the six functional areas, responsibilities, and associated knowledge of HR as defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI): strategic management, human resource development, and workforce planning and employment.
Besides being a powerful tool to begin preparing for the PHR or SPHR certification exams, the course provides professional development for you and your HR department. Obtain a solid foundation for managing the HR challenges you face in today`s demanding work environment. Strengthen individual competencies and productivity, while gaining a current reference of HR practices. If you are a functional specialist, broaden your perspective.
Candidates for the HRCI must have at least two (2) years of exempt-level experience in the HR field in order to earn either the PHR or SPHR designation. Individuals uncertain of their eligibility should contact HRCI at 800-283-7476, Option #4, or by email at hrci@shrm.org.
The HRCI exams are computer-based, with preliminary pass/fail status available upon completion. Testing must be scheduled during annual exam periods in May-June or December-January. The exam registration is eparate from the review course registration and must be postmarked by the advertised deadline or submitted with a late fee by two weeks after the deadline.
