In a comprehensive manner, this course builds upon knowledge gained in Conversational Japanese Elementary III, tracing units 9 through 11 (lessons 19 through 25) of Japanese for Busy People, Volume I. 

In addition to the lessons, class activities include language study through games, activities, and demonstrations of Japanese culture. Classes also include practice with native Japanese speakers.

Mineko White has taught Japanese classes at Kapi‘olani Community College, as well as for JAIMS, the Hawai‘i Department of Education, Honolulu Waldorf High School, and Damien Memorial High School. She also works as an ESL instructor and interpreter.
