This day focuses on exercises highlighting contemporary CSS design techniques:

• Minimal markup, maximum design results
• Using lists to create fantastic navigation
• Working with definition lists to design interface elements
• Understanding how to use background graphics on elements to achieve very sophisticated visual effect

A web designer, author and educator, Molly E. Holzchlag has written more than 30 books related to web design and development. She is a steering committee member of the Web Standards Project and has been named one of the 25 Most Influential Women on the Web. Holzschlag wrote the very popular "Integrated Design" column for Web Techniques Magazine and spent a year as Executive Editor of WebReview.com.
