Learn the steps necessary for effective color management and fine digital printing. Through demonstration and hands-on exercises, explore the entire workflow of the complex craft of digital printing to inkjet printers. Areas covered are: preparation of files, resolution needs and file sizes, types of papers and surfaces, inks and pigments, and color management. Participants discover how to realize their aesthetic aims, maximize print quality, maintain color fidelity, increase the dynamic tonal range, and preserve detail in shadows and highlights.
Several images are prepared and printed on Epson printers during the class period. This class functions as the foundation for using PNM`s Epson 7600 printer for your output needs.
PREREQUISITE: A working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
