Make the transition to digital photography. This comprehensive course covers all aspects of making digital images, from camera capture, in the morning and early afternoon sessions, through processing images in Adobe Photoshop, in the late afternoon. Areas covered include camera types, resolution needs, file formats, exposure and contrast control, color correction, white point balance, and use of both programmed and manual shooting modes.
This course is designed for the beginning digital photographer, the serious amateur, or the professional who needs to incorporate digital imaging into his or her work.
Please bring your camera and a digital capture card to class.
David Ulrich is a photographer and writer whose work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions. His work combines traditional photography with digital imaging. Ulrich has taught digital applications for Pacific Imaging Center, Kodak`s Center for Creative Imaging, New York University, and others. For 15 years, he was an associate professor and served as the chair of the photography department at The Art Institute of Boston. He is a core faculty member of Pacific New Media.
