An introduction to the world of offset printing with an emphasis on preparing your digital files for commercial grade printing, includes considerations related to paper, ink characteristics, and quality control. Become familiar with the process of sending a job to print, from getting an estimate through to the delivery of the final printed piece.

Since 2000, Scott Kawamura has taught advanced graphic design, advertising design, and print production classes at Honolulu Community College. For 11 years, he has worked for design firms and advertising agencies in Hawaii`s graphic design industry. Kawamura is founder of Clutch Design, his own design practice. He rounds out his knowledge of the design-to-print process as a sales executive at Electric Pencil, one Hawaii`s top commercial printing companies.
