Adobe InDesign CS4 combines extraordinary production power and creative freedom to take page design to a new level. This 2-day course introduces you to the fundamentals of InDesign`s tools, menus, panels, and more. Discover how to customize the workspace, preferences, and keyboard shortcuts. See how to produce superb typography and accurate page layouts for print or web.

Explore Import functions to incorporate text, images, and data from a variety of sources. Learn how to specify color and bleeds, for accurate prepress, and how to create press-ready files for print.

In keeping up-to-date, Adobe InDesign is adding features to improve interactive output as well as refine it`s brilliant print capabilities. Learn about great new CS4 features like Smart Guides, Smart Alignment and Spacing, Live Preflight; and since many projects these days need to be repurposed for digital delivery, Export to XFL and Page Transitions for creating interactive SWF and PDF documents like online magazines.

This workshop is ideal for graphic designers, art directors, and production artists. Gain practical knowledge, with hands-on projects in design and layout. Also features useful information for former QuarkXPress users.
