Rich Shupe is the founder and president of FMA, a full-service multimedia development company and training facility in New York City. Shupe teaches a variety of digital technologies, lecturing on these topics at Macworld, FlashForward, and other national and international events. He is also a professor at New York`s School of Visual Arts teaching in the master`s program. As a technical writer, Shupe is a regular columnist at DevX.com and the author of multiple books, including Flash 8: Projects for Learning Animation and Interactivity (O`Reilly), Flash CS3 Essential Training (Lynda.com/PeachPit), and the soon to be released Learning ActionScript 3.0 (O`Reilly). FMA develops CDs and websites for clients including McGraw-Hill, Phillips, 20th Century Fox, and Nickelodeon, and trains digital media professionals in Flash, Processing, JavaScript (DHTML/AJAX), HTML, XML, and more.
