This hands-on course provides the knowledge necessary to design and develop dynamic, database-driven web pages using PHP and MySQL. PHP is a server-side scripting language written for the web, quick to learn, and easy to deploy. Several high-traffic web sites use PHP/MySQL for its data storage and logging of user data, including Flickr, Facebook, Wikipedia, Google and YouTube. Students discover how to connect to a MySQL database, and perform hands-on practice creating database-driven HTML forms and reports.
Prerequisite: Web Databases for Beginners or experience with databases.
