Learn what makes a successful portrait. This workshop combines lecture and field work in photographing people. The instructor shares her experiences photographing celebrities including Ben Kingsley, Ed Harris, Jodi Foster, Coretta Scott King, and the King and Queen of Jordan. In the afternoon, participants photograph models using some of the new insights from the morning session. This work is critiqued at the end of the day.
Joyce Tenneson is among the most respected photographers of our time and was ranked by American Photo readers as one of the 10 most influential women in the history of photography. She is the author of 13 books, including the best-selling Wise Women and the recently published Joyce Tenneson: A Life in Photography.
