In this workshop, go through the steps of creating a social web strategy for a faux company. Create a branded niche social network using Ning and learn how to promote it using Twitter and Facebook. By the end of the session, attendees have a good idea of how to leverage social web tools to promote their business or organization.
Daniel Leuck is a software development executive with management experience in the United States, Japan, Russia, and the U.K. As a technologist he serves on various standards boards and organizations including the groups standardizing the Java language and platform, Java Modules, Scientific Units, and the Swing Application Framework. Leuck is active in the Java and .NET open source communities and lectures at universities and various conferences on social media, software architecture, UI design, and managing technical teams.
