Fifth Annual Survey Exhibition Sponsored by Pacific New Media
This juried exhibition is open to all artists using photographic processes: analog or digital, color or BXW, alternative processes and mixed media explorations. Contemporary Photography in Hawaii 2013 is meant to offer artists who use photography a venue for exhibiting work and to provide a snapshot of the "state of the art" of photography in Hawaii.
Hawaii residents, amateurs and professionals, are welcome to submit images. Works must show evidence of a photographic process in their creation.
Selected images are exhibited at Frame Arts Hawaii, 627 South Street, Honolulu.
April 1 - April 20, 2013
Opening Reception - Friday, April 5 at 6pm
Image must have been created within the past two years and not previously exhibited.
Photographers living in the state of Hawaii who are 18 and older are eligible.
Work must be original.
Selected work must be printed and framed for exhibition.
Frames and mattes: you will need to provide your own framing for the exhibition.

March 27 • Final framed prints delivered to Frame Arts Hawaii

Entry fee $15 for first entry, $5 per additional image. Maximum 5 images (pull down menu to pay for more than one)
- Email images with the following information to email@example.com:
List of titles to correspond with file name
Payment Confirmation number (registration/payment confirmation number).
Title: #1 Image Title,
#2 Image Title, etc
Submit in jpeg format - longest dimension no larger than 1200pixels wide. Maximum 2 megs.
File names: First initial, Last Name, entry number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).jpg
Image Dimensions (Ht/Width):
Medium (for example, gelatin silver print, archival pigment print on paper, or archival pigment print on canvas.):

Based in Honolulu, Peter Shaindlin divides his time between photography, writing, and creative luxury hospitality innovation. He is a disciple of Jock Sturges and has also enjoyed a professional career in music in his native New York. David Behlke is the director/curator of Koa Gallery at Kapi`olani Community College. Previously, he managed the prestigious Wenger Gallery in Los Angeles and has been involved in higher education for the past 25 years.
