What is social media and why is everyone saying it`s revolutionized communication? Who is really using these tools and what are practical uses for our live and business? This is a great introduction to social media, if you`re just starting out or curious about whether social media is right for you or your business. Includes case-study examples of businesses using social media, and stats on social media usage for marketing.
Shelley Simpson is the director of dangerous ideas for Small & Mighty Marketing, a marketing agency in Honolulu specializing in social media for small businesses. As vice president of Social Media Club Hawaii, Shelley makes sure members are happy, audiences are informed, and board members are inspired. She loves working in social media because of the synergistic dynamic that creativity, business savvy and technology can lift an idea, business or brand from obscurity into reality.
