Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom were designed specifically for photographers to address their real-world needs for a comprehensive photographic workflow.

Learn how to create an easy, efficient, and repeatable digital workflow and use the power of Lightroom to organize, make RAW edits, enhance, and present or print your images.

Morning session covers Lightroom followed by learning the powerful pixel-editing tools in Photoshop including layers and masks, local and global color and tonal correction, resizing, retouching, and methods of image enhancement.

Focus is to get you started in the Lightroom/Photoshop workflow so that you can use it immediately.

OPTIONAL: Bring a 1- 3TB external hard drive that is formatted for a MAC.


To insure your place in this workshop, please register by March 25. Under the new Outreach College guidelines, if the class doesn`t meet minimum enrollment a week in advance it will be canceled.

Georgia native, Chase Norton attended Emory University for his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. Moving to Hawaii in his early twenties he earned a Masters Degree in Meteorology at University of Hawaii. Embracing the beauty of scenic Hawaii through backpacking, he discovered his passion for photography while adventuring in the mountains. Chase spent the last 2 years working as studio manager at Hawkins Biggins Photography handling the post processing side of the business. Over the years, he has enjoyed helping and teaching others the powerful organizational and processing tools in Adobe Lightroom both in classrooms and privately. In his free time, Chase enjoys photographing remote regions of Hawaii and embracing the adventurer road.

David Ulrich is a core instructor and former program coordinator for Pacific New Media. He is an active photographer and writer whose work has been published in numerous books and journals. Ulrich`s photographs have been exhibited internationally in over 75 exhibitions. He is the author of The Widening Stream: the Seven Stages of Creativity and the upcoming Zen Camera: Six Lessons in Photography to Awaken Creativity and Sight. www.creativeguide.com
