Examine the art and techniques of photographing buildings and structures. After a brief orientation on the UH-Manoa campus, participants spend the first day photographing buildings downtown as a group. On the second day, participants process the images on the computer. Topics include correcting for perspective distortion and combining multiple exposures to create a balanced exposure.
Prerequisites: Participants must bring a camera to class and have a basic knowledge of Photoshop.
Glenn Kawabata received his MFA from the University of New Mexico. He has taught at Beloit College, Montana State University, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Kawabata`s work is a combination of digital technologies and historical photographic processes and has been shown nationally and internationally.
