Process Management Certificate Series
The business concept of process is not new, although mastering processes has become imperative for organizations. Today, operational excellence (superior quality, speed, efficiency, and customer satisfaction) and the ability to leverage distinctive process capabilities are essential to strategic success.
This series, resulting in the Process Management Certificate, helps develop technical skills, people skills, political acumen, and strategic creativityÑabilities critical to the success of your organizationÉ and your career. Utilizing the expertise of partner organizations Project Professionals, LLC and Orion Development Group, the Process Management Certificate series consists of three programs:
- Process Mapping: How to Streamline and Reengineer Business Processes
- Project Management Fundamentals (three one-day seminars)
- Measuring and Improving Service Processes OR Enterprise Process Management
While seminars may also be taken individually, without obligation, the specified programs must be completed to earn the Certificate.
Orion Development Group has worked with the University of Hawai`i since 2004. Process Mapping shows how to reduce inefficiency and waste and increase productivity, competitive advantage, and profits through process mapping, a simple yet powerful method of looking beyond functional activities and rediscovering your core processes. Improving Service Processes provides tools and techniques to measure service performance, understand variability in service processes, recognize trends, identify limiting factors, and develop results-oriented solutions that yield improved business results. Enterprise Process Management addresses the broad set of skills and competencies required by process professionals - technical skills, people skills, political acumen, and strategic creativity involved in producing revenues, value, customer service and loyalty.
Project Professionals, LLC has presented Project Management Fundamentals with the University of Hawai`i since 2001. This three-day comprehensive program provides practical techniques for successfully completing projects within time, budget, and scope/quality constraints. Participants learn to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close a project, concluding with interactive discussion of the nine knowledge areas that support the project management methodology.
Facilitation, planning, and consulting services in these subject areas are also available to clients in all industries. For further information about contract opportunities, contact Paulette Feeney, (808) 956-2037, email: Pfeeney@hawaii.edu.
