Practice English writing and speaking skills for business purposes, including: rŽsumŽs, requests, announcements, describing products & services, PowerPoint presentations, complaints, apologies, rejections, instructions, advertising & promoting, thank-yous, etc. Learn grammar and vocabulary to write and speak clearly and effectively. Please bring examples of the kind of writing you do, or hope to do, from your work.
Robert Boom started his first business before he graduated from college. Since 1970, his publishing company has created informative picture books and pamphlets that have sold over a million copies. He is experienced in professional communications at all levels of business. In addition, Boom has directed scientific research projects, and has successfully written and edited grant proposals and reports for NGOs and government agencies at the state and federal levels.
Boom began teaching ESL in 1991, and has a master`s in ESL from the University of Hawai‘i. He has taught listening, speaking, reading, and writing at Hawai‘i Pacific University, TransPacific Hawai‘i College, and University of Hawai‘i.
