A unique opportunity to participate in an aerobic activity designed to provide physical and cardiovascular benefits, under the guidance of an experienced professional. Make your efforts count, avoid injury, and enjoy the benefits of a structured program with individualized coaching. Proper technique and attaining your target heart rate will be emphasized. Learn:
- Step-by-step training to improve your walking or running form
- Appropriate stretching and dynamic joint mobility exercises
- Injury prevention
- Hill wallking/running techniques
- How to increase levels of aerobic fitness and performance
- How to create an exercise program to fit your particular needs
Open to adult men and women from low to high fitness levels. Whether you are an experienced fitness walker, runner, or simply thinking of taking the first steps towards improved fitness, you will benefit from this program. Throughout the course, you will receive extensive handout material and participate in discussions about various aspects of health, nutrition, and general wellness.
Shelli Stein, MA in physical education, has more than 25 years of experience both as a multisport athlete and as a professional in the health and wellness field. She is a personal health and fitness coach, specializing in injury rehabilitation, body composition, athletic development, and sport technique training. Stein has taught at colleges, community centers, and various fitness clubs, and travels nationally to offer movement education workshops and retreats.
