Parking Permits
Summer Sessions parking permit information will be available on the Parking Office website.
If you wish to reserve and purchase a parking permit for the Summer 2008 semester, you are allowed to make your reservation upon completion of your registration for your Summer 2008 semester classes. MyUH links you to the parking permit reservation site. Click on View Charges/Make Payment after you have completed your registration and scroll to the bottom of the screen for the parking permit link. You can also access the parking permit link on the parking web site. The authorized link to the parking permit reservation site is only available during registration in early April.
You are required to use MyUH to obtain your permit reservation. The Parking Office does not control your registration date and time. If you encounter technical problems such as username, login, or connections to the website, please call the UH Information Technology Services Help Desk at (808) 956-8883. If you encounter registration problems, contact Outreach College Student Services (808) 956-7221.
A limited number of the following permits will be available for reservation on a first-come, first served basis:
Car/Truck Permits: $68.00
Zone 20: Lower Campus Parking Structure
Zone 22: Dole Street/Kanewai Parking Structure
Zone 21: Hale Wainani dormitory lot, Student Housing residents only
Zone 8: Hale Aloha and Hale Noelani dormitory lots, Student Housing residents only
Moped/Motorcycle Permits: $14.00
Upper Campus: Selected upper campus lots above Dole Street
Commuter: Selected commuter lots above Dole Street
Dormitory: Selected dormitory lots, Student Housing residents only
If you are awarded a permit in the Summer 2008 parking permit reservation process, you will receive an email message from the Parking Office confirming your award. This is NOT a LOTTERY. Permits are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional summer parking permits will be available for purchase at the Parking Office. Permits are sold throughout the summer while supplies last.
Monthly Evening Parking Permits
Monthly evening parking permits are available for Summer Session students. Purchase these convenient permits for $18/month (cash or checks, no credit cards) at the Parking Office, M-F, 7:45am–4:30pm, or at Outreach College, Krauss Hall Information Window, Room 101, M-F, 4:00pm–5:30pm:
- Evening Parking Permit Sales Dates are May 16-30 and June 9-20
Present your vehicle registration certificate, driver's license, and validated summer student identification or proof of registration payment at the time of purchase.
Visitor Parking
Students and visitors who do not have parking permits are required to purchase a $3 visitor parking ticket upon entry to the campus.
On Mondays through Fridays, 6:30am to 4:00pm, parking is permitted only in the designated visitor parking areas, which includes 3,000 spaces in the Lower Campus Parking Structure (see campus map).
On Mondays through Fridays, from 4:00pm to closing, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, visitors may park in the main campus parking areas above Dole Street with the purchase of a visitor parking ticket. Visitor parking is not available in the Student Resident Life areas (Zone 8 and 21).
The Parking Operations may close parking areas, restrict entry to certain areas and/or designate alternative parking based on special events and/or special circumstances.
