An introduction to the subtle and intimate dance of Argentine Tango. Explore core elements of the dance, including: balance, walking, ochos, molinetes, and crusadas. Learn to integrate the rhythms and syncopation of the music into your dancing. Acquire the basic techniques and proper etiquette to begin socially dancing tango.
Bruce and Yoko Wee have a combined 11 years of experience dancing, performing, and teaching Argentine tango. They currently teach at the IslaTango School, and were semi-finalists for the 2006 Japan Open Tango Championships. The Wees have performed in various venues through the years, including a production hosted by the Castle Performing Arts Center called "Tango Caliente!" and the stage show for the Tango Fest Maui.
