Coming Home for the Summer?

Shave Ice, Plate Lunch and the Great Outdoors…
As a mainland college student from Hawai‘i, consider a summer at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa (UHM) as an opportunity to earn credits toward graduation while you enjoy your island home.

Choose credit courses that may satisfy your school's requirements (confirm transferability with your college). Check out this summer's offerings, both credit and non-credit.

A regular load of six UHM Summer Session undergraduate credits costs just $1,284. Resident and nonresident tuition is the same for undergraduate courses. Even if you are now residing in another state, you will still pay the same tuition as Hawai‘i residents. Fax or mail in your application, then register via our online registration system.

Consider courses that highlight the distinctiveness of Hawai‘i, such as: Pacific Island Cultures (ANTH 350), Hawai‘i: Center of the Pacific (HWST 107), or Marine Mammal Biology (BIOL 331). Or learn a language perhaps not commonly offered. Our diverse selection includes Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Hawaiian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Samoan, and Spanish.

Great courses, affordable tuition, easy registration, and summer back home in the Islands; it makes a lot of sense to spend this summer at Manoa!
