The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Outreach College proudly extends the resources of the University beyond the traditional campus, making higher education accessible to a broader community. Students are able to complete their degrees while managing full time work and families by taking classes on campus or via distance education.

College of Education
The Doctor of Education in Professional Practice prepares professionals for leadership roles in education and other positions focused on the application of research in educational settings.
The interdisciplinary Masters in Curriculum Studies – Early Childhood Education supports professional development and promotes leadership in personnel working with children between infancy and five years of age.
The Master of Education in Educational Foundations with the specialization in Educational Leadership in the Asia-Pacific Region is designed to allow teachers, administrators, and other educators to pursue study and research interests without career interruption, the program emphasizes the exploration of educational issues from cultural, philosophical, historical, and international perspectives.
The Masters in Educational Foundations: Private School Leadership (PSL) is open to qualified educators around the world through a combination of summer institutes and online courses. Students select to focus on educational issues with an emphasis on leadership in the private schools.
The Online Masters in Learning Design & Technology prepares students to create educational resources through diverse media and information technology.
Students in the earn a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Counseling which provides graduate-level training designed to prepare students for a fulfilling career in Rehabilitation Counseling. Rehabilitation Counseling provides students with the essential knowledge and skills to assist individuals with disabilities achieve an increased sense of empowerment, responsibility and maximum independence.
The statewide Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education prepares students for a teaching license in elementary education, with the option of dual preparation in Special Education, and serves students from all islands through online instruction and face-to-face weekend meetings.
The statewide Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Special Education prepares students with a Bachelor’s degree in any field for a teaching license in special education.
College of Social Science
Online BA in Economics is a degree completion program that provides students with an intensive knowledge of the theory and practice of economics, with an emphasis on the analysis of contemporary policy challenges of Hawaiʻi and the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific region.
Online BA in Women’s Studies is a degree completion program that provides students a thorough background in contemporary interdisciplinary scholarship in feminist and gender studies.
Social Science of Oceans is designed for working adults, this accelerated online BA degree completion program is offered in five week segments.
Interdisciplinary Studies
The Interdisciplinary Studies – Professional Studies concentration is a completely online, Degree Completion Program that provides adult learners with a structured program, with courses from four main disciplines: Leadership, Culture, Communication and Community, preparing learners to become well-rounded citizens and leaders in their work and communities.
John A. Burns School of Medicine
The Imi Hoʻola Post-Baccalaureate Program makes medical careers possible for members of disadvantaged groups for whom such careers may seem impossible and who have demonstrated a commitment to serve in areas of need in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. Upon successful completion, these students matriculate into the MD program as 1st year medical students.
Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health
The Bachelor of Social Work, Distance Education Option (two years) and the Masters of Social Work, Distance Education Option (three years) offers degrees via distance learning technology to students statewide.
School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program is designed as a post-master’s program to meet our statewide demand for a highly competent nursing workforce equipped with the skills to ensure the delivery of safe, quality nursing care in Hawaiʻi.
The Master of Science in Nursing offers a variety of specialty area options and alternative entry pathways to prepare students for advanced nursing roles.
The Graduate Entry Program in Nursing is an accelerated alternative entry program to an advanced nursing degree for adult learners who have Bachelor?s degrees in fields other than nursing, but are leadership bound and seeking a career in advanced nursing.
The Online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a new program for associate degree in nursing and diploma graduates. UH Community College Nursing Consortium students and graduates from non-UH systems.
