The Galliard String Quartet is Hawaii’s premier, professional string quartet. Passionate for the romantic music of Beethoven, Brahms, Shostakovich and others, the GSQ was founded in 1982 and is known throughout the islands for their high standards and commitment to education. Recent highlights and collaborations include acclaimed pianist Wu Han, conductor and silent film historian Rick Benjamin, Onium Ballet, composer Jon Magnussen, Robert Cazimero, and the PA`I Foundation. All four members of the present Galliard are members of the Hawai`i Symphony Orchestra and are seasoned teachers and music educators in the community. Learn more at
Founded in 1982, Chamber Music Hawaii is Hawaii’s oldest organization supporting local, professional chamber musicians. CMH musicians are also full-time members of the Honolulu Symphony. With four different ensemble combinations, CMH offers a wide variety of chamber music.
