Janice Morimoto has made a career acting in a variety of roles. She spent twelve years in Los Angeles including six as a resident actor with the East West Players. Her roles in Los Angeles included parts in “Pacific Overtures,” “Taste of Kona Coffee,” “Cabaret,” and the Los Angeles Children’s Museum’s production of “Into the Woods.” Since returning to Hawaii she has worked with Kumu Kahua Theatre in “Aloha Las Vegas” and “Folks You Meet at Longs” and with Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s “Nothing is the Same.” She has appeared on film and television including parts in recent network shows “North Shore” and “Hawaii”. Together with her partner, Eric Mita, they showcased “Bamboo Ridge Tales” as part of the Red Dirt Storytelling Festival 2004 presented by the Hawaii United Okinawan Association. Janice toured her “island-style’ storytelling” program for children statewide as a featured teller in the Hawaii State Public Library System’s Talespinners’ Festival of the Pacific, 2005.
