The Asia Pacific Dance Festival (APDF) continues its “Moving Forward” series. Once a month, the series presents previous APDF resident artists, taking a look back at their time here at the festival as well as discussing their current projects and how they are moving forward.
This session will feature ASK Dance Company Artistic Director Joseph Gonzales. Featured in the 2019 APDF, ASK Dance Company is a professional dance collective based in Malaysia. The company’s philosophy is that to a be alive, one must continuously learn, and thus be unafraid to ASK pertinent questions.
APDF showcases the finest dances, dancers, and choreographers from Asia and the Pacific. Centered on a series of performances, the Festival includes such complementary activities as workshops, university course offerings, public lectures, forums, and community demonstrations.
APDF is a co-production of the East-West Center Arts Program and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College. Additional support is provided by the University’s Theatre & Dance Department.
