The members of the Quatuor Agate hail from the South of France and met while studying in Paris. Founded in 2016, the quartet studied at the Hochschule für Musik Berlin and founded the Corsiclassic Music Festival. Their many awards include being prize winners at the Young Classical Artists Trusts International Auditions and they’ve performed at the Verbier Festival Academy, the Montreal International String Quartet Academy, and the Aix-en-Provence Festival Academy. Since 2018, the quartet has been in residence at the Fondation Singer- Polignac and are currently recording the complete Brahms Quartets for the Naïve label.
