Shidler College of Business
Established in 1949, the Shidler College of Business was named in 2006 after alumnus Jay H. Shidler, founder and managing partner of The Shidler Group. In 2017, Mr. Shidler increased his total giving to $228 million, making it the largest donation to the University of Hawai‘i from a private donor.
A leader among U.S. business schools for its expertise in international business education focus on the Asia-Pacific region, the college provides students with an in-depth understanding of the best business practices, an awareness of languages and cultures, and a solid comprehension of emerging technologies within today’s complex global economic environment.
