Medical Diagnosis and Treatment
This week-long summer program provides an engaging learning opportunity for students interested in health professions. Through gross anatomy laboratory demonstrations, clinical skills laboratories, computerized manikin simulations and standardized patient interactions, students will learn how to:
• describe the epidemiology, signs and symptoms, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses common in Hawai‘i;
• perform basic clinical skills such as measuring vital signs and listening to the heart and lungs with stethoscopes; and
• interview and counsel patients.
*Classes will be all in-person or hybrid if needed
