SCHOLARSHIPS

NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT UH MĀNOA STUDENTS

Need-based scholarships are available via an online application. Priority Summer Application will be available March 1, 2021. More information can be found here.

FRESHMAN MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

Thank you for your interest in the Freshman Merit Scholarship. The application is currently closed as we received more applications than there are scholarships available.

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to up to 100 first-year UH Mānoa students for Summer Sessions 2021. This award recognizes academically exceptional students who have demonstrated a commitment to completing their UH Mānoa degree in four years.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2021 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs. Scholarship applications are due on March 31, 2021 (Wednesday).

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2021 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have been admitted to UH Mānoa as a freshman in the Fall 2020 semester.
  • have UH Mānoa as your home campus in the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.
  • have 27 or more credits. (Credits from classes completed by the end of Fall 2020 as well as classes registered for in Spring 2021 as of March 31 will be counted towards these 27+ credits.)
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2020 semester. (A student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2021 term by March 31, 2021.

SOPHOMORE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

Thank you for your interest in the Sophomore Merit Scholarship. The application is currently closed as we received more applications than there are scholarships available.

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to up to 75 sophomore UH Mānoa students in recognition of their academic excellence.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2021 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs. Scholarship applications are due on March 31, 2021 (Wednesday).

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2021 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have UH Mānoa as your home campus in the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.
  • have sophomore standing (30-59 credits) at the end of the Fall 2020 semester (UH Mānoa and Transfer Credits.)
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2020 semester (a student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2021 term by March 31, 2021.
