SCHOLARSHIPS

NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT UH MĀNOA STUDENTS

Need-based scholarships are available via the Summer Financial Aid Services online application. The 2024 Priority Summer Application is available from March 6 – April 12, 2024. The 2024 Late Summer Application will be available from April 13 – May 10, 2024.

FRESHMAN MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to 100 first-year UH Mānoa students for Summer Sessions 2024. This award recognizes academically exceptional students who have demonstrated a commitment to completing their UH Mānoa degree in four years.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2024 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2024 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have been admitted to UH Mānoa as a freshman in the Fall 2023 semester.
  • have UH Mānoa as your home campus in the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters.
  • have 27 or more credits. (Credits from classes completed by the end of Fall 2023 as well as classes registered for in Spring 2024 as of March 25 will be counted towards these 27+ credits.)
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2023 semester. (A student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2024 term by April 1, 2024.

SOPHOMORE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to 50 sophomore UH Mānoa students in recognition of their academic excellence.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2024 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2024 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have UH Mānoa as your home campus in the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters
  • have sophomore standing (30-59 credits) at the end of the Fall 2023 semester (UH Mānoa and Transfer Credits)
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2023 semester (a student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2024 term by April 1, 2024.
