SCHOLARSHIPS
NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT UH MĀNOA STUDENTS
Need-based scholarships are available via the Summer Financial Aid Services online application. The 2025 Priority Summer Application is available from March 4 – April 17, 2025. The 2025 Late Summer Application will be available from April 18 – May 16, 2025.
FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORE MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to 150 UH Mānoa students for Summer Sessions 2025. This award recognizes academically exceptional students who have demonstrated a commitment to completing their UH Mānoa degree in four years.
The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2025 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2025 merit scholarship, you must first meet the criteria 1 or 2.
- Admitted to UH Mānoa as a freshman in the Fall 2024 semester AND have 27-45 credits earned at UH Mānoa. (Credits from classes completed by the end of Fall 2024 as well as classes registered for in Spring 2025 as of March 31 will be counted towards these 27-45 credits.)
OR
- Have sophomore standing (30-59 credits) at the end of the Fall 2024 semester (UH Mānoa and transfer credits).
In addition, you must:
- have UH Mānoa as your home campus in the Fall 2024 through Summer 2025.
- have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2024 semester. (A student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
- be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2025 term by April 1, 2025.
If you have any questions about your eligibility, we recommend that you submit an online application. Each applicant’s eligibility will be confirmed by staff and students who are ineligible will be notified.
How to Apply
To apply, complete and submit the Summer Merit Scholarship 2025 Application, which will be available on this webpage on March 3. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. On the application, complete the items to the best of your ability. Make sure your UH ID number is accurate so staff can confirm your eligibility.
