Summer 2 (ONLINE)
This course introduces you to Communicology, the study of human communication processes, and to a range of well-known communication theories. You will learn how theory and research are connected. You will also be introduced to theories of interpersonal communication, culture, social identity, persuasion, media effects, and computer-mediated communication, and how they relate to your life.
Through class activities, this class brings theory “down to earth,” emphasizing connections between communication theory and your daily life and personal experiences.
