Program participants are responsible for the tuition, fees and materials (e.g., textbooks, lab supplies) associated with their course(s). Resident tuition and fees for UH Mānoa undergraduate courses will apply.

Scholarships for Summer Scholar Program

UH Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer $1,200 need-based scholarships to Hawaiʻi high school students participating in the Summer Scholar Program. This scholarship is available to Hawaiʻi public school students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals, and Hawaiʻi private school students who receive need-based financial aid. Scholarships are limited, and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and must be used toward UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2021 tuition.

To apply

1. Student applicant completes and submits the Summer Scholar Program Scholarship, Part A. (These scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and Part A will be date-stamped upon receipt to determine the order of applications received. Therefore, submit Part A of your application as soon as possible.)

2. Student applicant completes Section I of the Summer Scholar Program Application for Scholarship, Part B.

3. Student applicant asks an authorized high school official to complete Section II of the Summer Scholar Program Application for Scholarship, Part B. This section verifies that the student applicant qualifies for this scholarship.
