Summer Scholar Program application steps.

Application deadline: April 15, 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  • Sophomore or Junior in high school during the 2024-2025 academic year
  • 3.5 cumulative high school GPA (including Fall 2024 coursework)
  • Maturity and motivation required to complete university-level course work
  • Parent/guardian approval

Before You Apply

The online application will involve uploading the following. We recommend collecting these documents before you start the online application. Ultimately, you will need these in electronic format so they can be attached to your online application.

  1. Your high school academic record (courses and grades) from Grade 9 through Fall 2024. Typically students request their high school transcript (official or unofficial) from their high schoolʻs records office. Then check to see if your Fall 2024 grades are on your transcript. If your Fall 2024 grades are not yet recorded on your transcript, you will also need to submit a copy of your Fall 2024 report card.
  2. The Parent/Guardian Approval Form.
  3. If you will be traveling to O‘ahu to participate in this program (i.e., you live elsewhere during the academic year), please also submit the Adult Sponsor Agreement Form as part of your online application. This form will also be available in January. Note: The Summer Scholar Program is a day program and campus housing is not available.
